Boarding Policies

"*" indicates required fields

We are pleased that you have chosen us to provide care for your animal in your absence. We try and treat each animal as we would our own. Please let us know about any special needs your pet may have. The following is a list of policies and fees currently in effect at your boarding facility. They are for everyone’s protection.

RESERVATIONS

Please make your boarding reservations AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. This allows us time to prepare the pet’s chart prior to boarding. Boarding pets will be charged by the day and not by the night.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Pets may be admitted to and picked up from boarding between 8:00 am to 5:15 pm Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:45pm (SEE HOLIDAY HOURS BELOW). Any pet getting a bath can be picked up during the week after 2:00 pm, unless told otherwise and on Saturday after 12:00 pm. Pets will not be admitted or released outside these hours.

We are CLOSED the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. We close early (at 2pm) on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

PLEASE NOTE: ANY ANIMAL THAT IS NOT CURRENTLY VACCINATED PRIOR TO RESERVATION MUST BE VACCINATED OR WILL THEY NOT BE ADMITTED FOR BOARDING.

ANY PETS COMING DUE FOR VACCINATIONS DURING THEIR BOARDING STAY SHOULD HAVE THEM COMPLETED AT THEIR REGULAR VETERINARIAN OR THEY WILL BE COMPLETED WITH ONE OF OUR DOCTORS WHILE HERE. VACCINATIONS WILL ONLY BE DONE WITH A DOCTOR EXAM.

VACCINATIONS REQUIRED FOR BOARDING

DOGS: Must be currently vaccinated for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvo, Corona, Rabies, Leptospirosis, and Kennel Cough. Canine Influenza H3N2/H3N8 is not currently required at this time, however, as it is seasonal; this may change. Please contact our office to inquire if your pet will require this vaccine.

CATS: Must be currently vaccinated for Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Rabies.

PARASITES

All animals admitted for boarding will be examined for ectoparasites (fleas and ticks). If ectoparasites are found on your animal, they will be appropriately treated at your expense. In addition all animals need to have had a negative fecal (stool) test within the last six (6) months. If this has not been done, the test will be done for $52.00 while your pet is staying with us.

MEDICATIONS

Please bring all medications and supplements in their original prescription bottles with the correct dosing information. An additional medication fee will be incurred for medicating your pet during his or her stay with us. This fee ranges from $10 per day (1-2 treatments per day) to $20 per day (6 treatments per day). Diabetic animals require additional steps in maintaining; their daily medicated charge ranges from $18 per day (compliant) to $30 per day (noncompliant) and does require the pet to arrive with their own medication, syringes, and testing strips if needed. Noncompliant animals include animals that are not eating during their stay and may require intervention.

FOOD

Dogs and cats will be fed the diet you have provided. If you have not provided a diet, we will feed them a sensitive skin and stomach diet from Hill’s Science Diet or Purina Pro Plan. If your pet requires a special diet, you may provide it at no additional fee. We will be glad to provide prescription diets to meet your pet’s special needs. If a prescription diet is required, these diets will be provided at the normal cost of the food. In order to do so, an examination by one of our doctors within the last 12 months IS required.

BATHINIG AND GROOMING

Nails trims and ear cleanings are done with each bath unless the owner tells us otherwise. A bath will take place on the last day of boarding; you will not be charged for both. We do ask that if you request a bath for your pet, discharge times should be later on the day of pick up, or after 2pm during the week or 12 pm on Saturdays. If your pet requires a special shampoo (medicated, etc), please bring that with your animal at admission. If a medicated shampoo is not sent with your pet, we can use ours for an additional fee of $10.00 in additional to the bath charge. Please note, if you request a bath and pick up before 10am, your pet may be bathed the night before.

PERSONAL ITEMS

You are welcome to bring something from home to make your pet feel more secure while with us. These items are limited to those that we feel will be safe. We will do our best to keep track of these items, but we cannot be responsible in event that they are misplaced. Choke collars, leashes, and cat carriers should not be left here.

FEES

All charges are due when your pet is being released from our facility. Any pet being picked up after 10:00 am, unless receiving a bath, will be charged for a full day of boarding. If you pick up prior to 10am, you will not be charged for that day of boarding. We will gladly provide an estimate for any service or item. We accept cash, checks, Care Credit, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card and American Express.

DEPOSITS

During our peak seasons, we do require a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold your boarding reservation. This deposit does get applied to the boarding stay. If you cancel less than one week prior to your boarding stay, the deposit is nonrefundable. Peak seasons include: spring break (March 15-April 15), Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving through the following Monday, and the Christmas/New Year holiday (December 20 through January 4). Further, we will require a full deposit up front in the amount of the boarding charges for first time clients. Our client service representatives will create a boarding treatment form and forward to your email as soon as they are able; the deposit required being the high end on the boarding forms.
