Euthanasia

Due to COVID-19 we are unable to provide Hospice Care and Home Euthanasia Services. We can provide you with the same compassionate care in clinic when the time to say goodbye to your pet comes.

Hospice care allows our patients with terminable disease the ability to live the remainder of their lives with dignity, and often in the comfort of their own home. We are proud to offer compassionate, quality, palliative hospice care for these patients, and our staff at Christensen Animal Hospital in Wilmette will work to tailor an individual plan with you should that time come. This type of end of life care is important to assure that these pets live out their last days in a clean, comfortable, loving, and pain-free environment, while giving you the time that you need to process the impending death of your pet.

Sometimes the most stressful and difficult part of end of life care is knowing when the time has come.  Our team is always available to help you assess the quality of life of your sick pet, and will be honest with you at every step of the way with that assessment.  When the time comes to make that difficult decision to say goodbye to your pet, our doctors and staff will make the process as peaceful and loving as possible for your pet, and your family.

Our goal at Christensen Animal Hospital in Wilmette, IL is to help your pet leave this world with the same grace that it had during the years that you shared. For more information please call us at 847-251-2600.
